Yad Vashem is working on an encyclopedia of the Jewish communities destroyed by the National Socialists during the Second World War with the project "Pinkas Hakehillot" since the 1960's.This site offers access to an online version of the handbook for the German state of Lower Saxony. The online version is still under work since 1995 and shall be regularly enlarged.
