The Galileo Project is a hypertext source of information on the life and work of Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) and the science of his time. The site includes a timeline of Galileo's life as well as a bibliography, texts about and images of instrumets Galileo used, images of Italian cities, a database "of detailed histories of over 600 individuals who made significant contributions to Western science" and other resources. It was developed at Rice University by the Galileo Project Development Team in 1996.
