The directory is a collection of links to internet sites relating to the history, music and literature of the American South. Links are organized in broad categories -- archives and historical societies, genealogy, literature, and Appalachia -- and are also cross-listed by state. The focus is primarily on organizational webpages (historical societies, newspapers, universities, etc.) although some individual web pages are also included.
