"In principle only periodicals whose main topic is Labour History have been listed including regional periodicals and periodicals by or with a political tendency. Theoretical journals of political organizations or other political periodicals are not included, even if they often carry relevant historical material. There is a wide range of scholarly periodicals which for various reasons have been omitted. [...] One of its main purposes was that it should contain periodicals which can be subscribed. Therefore the entries contain - as far as they were known - editorial and publication addresses, ISSN (some times ISBN) numbers and subscription prices. [...] The list is based on the holdings of the Arbejderbevægelsens Bibliotek og Arkiv, Copenhagen, but several IALHI-members have contributed and further additions, updates, corrections etc are welcome."
